"Soleil Salon"

An  installation at the University of Georgia in April 2017. Soleil Salon demonstrates a variety of techniques Olivia employs in her designs. 

Concept Board

The collection of abstracted botanicals below were the source of inspiration for the patterns and textures found throughout Soleil Salon. Through mark making, dye techniques and color exploration, Olivia created a body of work that reflects the moments in these images. 

Process

Various sketches and samples were created to produce the finished pieces. Blind contour drawings, material sampling and dye techniques are among the many processes Olivia used to create the finished collection.

 Hand dyed organza panels, hand painted and screen printed linen upholstered on antique settee, hand dyed linen pendant coated in resin, hand dyed Turkish rug, vintage side table with dyed paper coated in resin.
